RFP Advisory, 

presentation preparation

The Problem: Our client, a software development company, was invited to present their capabilities to a larger software vendor and provided with some guidelines to base that presentation on. They had built tooling they wished to demonstrate, but required deeper subject matter expertise to validate the tool’s appropriateness for the requirements provided, as well as assistance in crafting a successful presentation.

Our Approach: We led them through a series of workshops to compare the requirement list against their prototype; in doing so, critical refinements and adjustments to the tooling were exposed that could be addressed prior to presentation. A skills analysis to determine whether the talent on hand was suitable for the future path of the company was also conducted.

​

The Solution: To “future-proof” their opportunity with the larger vendor, we brainstormed other uses for the tools they had developed based on existing gaps in the vendor's suite of offerings, and incorporated them into their planned presentation. Finally, we crafted new messaging that would better resonate with the prospect.    

​

The Results: A new presentation was created, positioning our client as a scalable “special projects” team, capable of undertaking projects that the vendor's internal development teams did not have the capacity to address, effectively clearing much of their backlog. A successful presentation was made to the prospect, resulting in immediate engagement of our client’s services - and a new offering to promote to others.
